Role Overview – Apprentice Data Analyst
The Apprentice – Data Analyst will work within S&P Global’s Enterprise Data Organization, collecting and analyzing financial data from research reports, company filings, news aggregators and global industry sources. You’ll generate meaningful consensus data, monitor real-time industry publications and contribute to teams such as Fundamentals, FILINGS & SOURCING, People Data, Transactions (M&A and Capital Markets) and Private Markets. This is a hands-on data role designed to give freshers strong exposure to financial research and analytics.
Key Responsibilities
- Data Collection: High quality financial data collection, analysis and extraction from research reports, regulatory filings and news sources for assigned verticals.
- Data Entry & Workflow: Enter and validate data in internal work tools as per guideline specifications, ensuring accuracy at scale.
- Dataset Knowledge: Build strong working knowledge of dataset structures, workflow rules and quality control standards.
- Targets & Delivery: Deliver on predefined individual and team targets including delivering outcomes with quality and excellence.
- Process Improvement: Troubleshoot problems and support the team in enhancing workflow and processes within the department.
- Communication: Provide timely response to mails from coworkers and managers; be proactive and demonstrate aptitude for new learnings.
