📝 The Selection Process

The Infosys selection process is known for being rigorous with strict time management. It typically consists of three stages:

Stage 1: The Online Assessment (Virtual)

This is the biggest elimination round.

• Total Time: ~100 Minutes

• Constraint: Sectional Cutoffs apply. You cannot switch between sections or go back to previous questions.

Exam Pattern Breakdown:

1. Reasoning Ability (15 Qs / 25 Mins): Data Sufficiency, Syllogisms, Visual Reasoning. Difficulty: High

2. Mathematical Ability (10 Qs / 35 Mins): Percentages, Data Interpretation, Permutations & Combinations. Difficulty: Medium

3. Verbal Ability (20 Qs / 20 Mins): Reading Comprehension, Sentence Correction. Difficulty: Medium

4. Pseudocode (5 Qs / 10 Mins): Tracing logic for C/C++ loops (No compiler provided). Difficulty: High

5. Puzzle Solving (4 Qs / 10 Mins): Logical and visual puzzles. Difficulty: Medium

Stage 2: Technical Interview

If you clear the test, you will face a 1:1 interview.

• For SE Role: Basics of OOPs (Java/Python), SQL queries, and explaining your Final Year Project.

• For SP/DSE Role: Expect live coding on a shared screen (LeetCode Medium/Hard level), questions on Trees, Graphs, and System Design basics.

Stage 3: HR Interview

A check on your communication skills, willingness to relocate to Mysore for training, and stability.

🎯 Important Topics to Prepare (The “Cheat Sheet”)

• For Aptitude: Focus on Data Interpretation and Syllogisms. These are high-weightage areas.

• For Pseudocode: Practice tracing for loops, increments (i++ vs ++i), and recursion on paper. You won’t have a compiler to help you!

• For Interview: Know your resume inside out. If you mentioned a project, be ready to draw its architecture.
