Deloitte Analyst 2026: Hiring Process, Rounds & Preparation Guide

Deloitte is the highest-paying mass recruiter many freshers will encounter, with Analyst offers around ₹6.5–8.5 LPA across its consulting and technology arms. The bar is correspondingly higher — this guide covers the 2026 Analyst hiring process, what each round actually tests, and how to prepare.

What freshers join as

Role Typical CTC Where
Analyst (Technology / Consulting) ~₹6.5–8.5 LPA Deloitte USI (US-India) offices

Deloitte hires from engineering, commerce and science backgrounds depending on service line — technology analysts skew B.E/B.Tech/MCA. See monthly take-home with the in-hand salary calculator.

Round 1 — Online assessment

Expect a multi-section test: quantitative aptitude and logical reasoning at a slightly higher difficulty than IT-services tests, verbal ability with denser RC passages, and for technology roles a technical section — programming MCQs, pseudocode, DBMS/OS fundamentals, sometimes light coding. Some cycles use a behavioural/psychometric section: answer consistently, not “perfectly”. Build speed with timed practice sets.

Round 2 — Technical / case interview

Technology tracks get a technical interview: projects in depth, SQL (expect to write queries), one programming language, data structures basics, and scenario questions about debugging and client situations. Consulting-flavoured tracks may add a mini case discussion — structure your thinking out loud (clarify → break down → estimate → conclude). The reported question pool is in our Deloitte question bank.

Round 3 — HR / fit discussion

Deloitte weighs communication and professionalism heavily: a crisp self-introduction, why consulting/Deloitte specifically (have a real answer — “brand” is not one), a story demonstrating ownership, and comfort with client-facing work and travel. Dress and punctuality signal more here than at typical IT-services interviews.

Eligibility snapshot

Typically 60%+ throughout (some cycles ask higher), no active backlogs, and strong communication. Deloitte often runs specific college/percentage cutoffs per drive — the posting is the source of truth. Current Deloitte and similar openings are on the live drives page.

How to stand out

Three things separate selected candidates: structured communication (practise answering out loud in frameworks: situation → action → result), SQL fluency (the single most-tested hard skill for tech analysts), and a clean, quantified resume — build one with the free ATS resume builder and put numbers on every project. FAQs

Is Deloitte harder to crack than TCS/Infosys?

Yes — smaller intake, higher communication bar, tougher aptitude. But the process is very learnable; candidates who prepare cases and SQL specifically clear it regularly.

Does Deloitte have a bond?

Offers are generally without a traditional bond; check your letter for notice-period terms.

Do commerce graduates get in?

Yes — risk advisory, audit-adjacent and consulting lines hire B.Com/BBA/MBA profiles; technology analyst roles skew engineering.

How important is the psychometric section?

It filters inconsistency, not personality type. Answer honestly and consistently across similar questions.
