Role Overview – Graduate Apprentice Trainee – Digitalisation / PowerBI / Power Platform
As a Graduate Apprentice Trainee in the Digitalisation team, you’ll be instrumental in Volvo’s ongoing digital transformation journey. This 12-month apprenticeship program is designed to equip freshers with practical knowledge of business intelligence tools, process automation, and modern data analytics. You’ll work under the mentorship of experienced professionals, supporting the Purchasing Department and broader organizational processes through innovative digital solutions. This role offers an excellent blend of structured learning, hands-on project work, and exposure to enterprise-level business systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Digital Transformation Support: Assist in transforming purchasing and supply chain processes using modern digital tools and technologies. You’ll help identify opportunities to automate manual workflows, improve data visibility, and enhance operational efficiency across the department.
- Dashboard and Report Development: Create and maintain business intelligence dashboards using Power BI and Power Platform. You’ll design visually compelling reports that transform complex procurement data into actionable insights for stakeholders at all levels.
- Supplier Data Analysis: Conduct multi-dimensional analysis of supplier performance including pricing trends, volume analytics, spending patterns, and ABC classification. Your insights will help Volvo optimize supplier relationships and negotiate better commercial terms.
- Supplier Portal Integration: Support supplier integration initiatives through EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) implementation and portal maintenance. You’ll ensure smooth data flows between Volvo’s systems and supplier systems, facilitating seamless collaboration.
- Data Taxonomy and Segmentation: Contribute to developing and maintaining data taxonomy structures and supplier segmentation models. This work ensures consistent data classification across the organization and enables more sophisticated analytics.
- Process Documentation and Optimization: Document existing business processes and identify improvement opportunities. You’ll work with teams to streamline workflows and implement best practices in procurement and supply chain management.

Eligibility Criteria
- Educational Qualification: Bachelor of Engineering (B.E) or Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) degree in Computer Science, Information Science, Information Technology, or related fields.
- Batch Year: 2024 or 2025 batch graduates (currently pursuing final year or recently graduated)
- Academic Performance: Minimum 65% CGPI (Cumulative Grade Point Index) across graduation. Consistency in academic performance is valued by the organization.
