About Oracle Corporation

Oracle Corporation is a global technology powerhouse headquartered in Austin, Texas, with a massive engineering presence in Bengaluru, India, at its India Development Centre (IDC). Founded in 1977, Oracle is the world’s second-largest software company by revenue, delivering cloud infrastructure, autonomous databases, enterprise applications, and AI-powered platforms to millions of businesses worldwide. Oracle’s Bengaluru IDC is one of the company’s largest engineering hubs globally, with thousands of engineers working on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), Java, MySQL, and enterprise SaaS products. Interning at Oracle gives you direct access to mentorship from top engineers and real ownership of meaningful projects.

Role Overview – Project Intern

As a Project Intern at Oracle Bengaluru, you will be embedded in a real engineering team working on Oracle’s cloud infrastructure, database, enterprise applications, or AI products. Unlike typical internships, Oracle Project Interns are expected to take meaningful ownership of their assignments — solving genuine engineering problems, writing production-quality code, and contributing to product roadmaps. You will receive mentorship from experienced Oracle engineers and have the opportunity to convert this internship into a full-time role based on performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Development: Work on assigned engineering projects within Oracle’s cloud, database, or enterprise software divisions, writing clean and well-tested code in languages such as Java, Python, C++, or SQL as required by the team.
  • Feature Implementation: Assist in designing and implementing new product features or improvements to existing Oracle Cloud and database systems, contributing to sprint deliverables under the guidance of senior engineers.
  • Testing & Debugging: Write unit tests, perform debugging, and participate in code reviews to ensure software quality, reliability, and performance standards are met before code is merged to production.
  • Data Analysis: Analyze data sets, generate insights, and create reports to support product or business decisions, leveraging Oracle’s own analytics and database tools in a hands-on environment.
  • Technical Documentation: Prepare clear technical documentation for assigned modules including design documents, API references, and user guides to facilitate knowledge sharing within the team.
  • Research & Prototyping: Explore emerging technologies relevant to Oracle’s product roadmap, prototype new solutions, and present findings to the team as part of Oracle’s innovation-driven engineering culture.
  • Collaboration: Engage actively in daily stand-ups, sprint planning sessions, and team discussions, collaborating with engineers, product managers, and QA teams to deliver high-quality engineering outcomes.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Educational Qualification: B.E / B.Tech / MCA / BCA in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or closely related technical disciplines. Final year students and recent graduates are both eligible.
  • Batch Year: 2025 and 2026 graduating batch students currently enrolled or recently graduated are eligible for Oracle Off Campus Drive 2026.
  • Academic Performance: Minimum 60% aggregate marks or 6.0 CGPA throughout academic career (10th, 12th, and graduation). Indian citizenship required; candidate must be 18 years or above.
  • Technical Skills: Strong fundamentals in at least one programming language such as Java, Python, or C++. Knowledge of data structures, algorithms, SQL, and basic understanding of cloud computing or database concepts is highly preferred.
  • Communication Skills: Fluency in English (both spoken and written). Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving mindset, and ability to articulate technical ideas clearly in team discussions.

Selection Process

The Oracle Off Campus Drive 2026 follows a rigorous selection process to identify candidates who can contribute meaningfully from day one:

  • Round 1 – Online Assessment: Candidates appear for an online test covering data structures and algorithms, programming logic, aptitude, and problem-solving. Strong performance in coding questions is critical at this stage.
  • Round 2 – Technical Interview: Shortlisted candidates are invited for a technical interview where Oracle engineers evaluate your coding skills, problem-solving approach, knowledge of databases, and system design fundamentals.
  • Round 3 – HR Interview: The final round assesses communication skills, adaptability, career goals, and motivation to work at Oracle. Successful candidates receive the internship offer along with onboarding details.

Salary & Benefits

Oracle offers an estimated monthly stipend of Rs. 35,000 – 55,000 for Project Interns in Bengaluru, making it one of the most competitive internship programs in India. In addition to the stipend, Oracle interns receive access to Oracle University courses covering Java, OCI, databases, and machine learning, a globally recognized Oracle credential, mentorship from senior Oracle engineers, corporate perks including laptop support, meals, and networking opportunities, and a strong possibility of a full-time offer — approximately 40% of interns at Oracle convert to permanent positions with starting salaries of Rs. 8–12 LPA.
