Role Overview – Project Engineering Entry Professional
As a Project Engineering Entry Professional in the GIS LCC Secondary team at Savli, Gujarat, you will be responsible for creating electrical circuit diagrams and supporting documentation for High Voltage Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS) systems. You will work under the guidance of a Lead Engineer using the E3 CAD tool, contributing directly to the execution of LCC (Local Control Cubicle) engineering for high-voltage infrastructure projects. This role offers an excellent platform to build hands-on expertise in power systems engineering while collaborating with cross-functional teams across Primary Engineering, Project Management, and Production.
Key Responsibilities
- LCC Schematics Preparation: Prepare LCC schematics for High Voltage Gas Insulated Switchgear (66 kV and above) including CB, Disconnector, Earthing Switch, Fast Acting Earthing Switches, CT and VT schematics.
- Junction Box and Load Calculations: Prepare Junction Boxes for CT, VT, and Density monitors, and perform AC/DC load calculations to ensure proper system design and power distribution.
- Interlocking and Protection Schematics: Prepare interlocking tables and schematics for various busbar configurations, and develop protection schematics for Transformers, Lines, and Busbars when integrated protection is included.
- Digital LCC and Communication Diagrams: Prepare complete Digital LCC drawings for Digital Substation projects including NCITs, Merging Units, SAM600 modules, and prepare Communication Architecture diagrams as required.
- Technical Query Resolution: Address technical queries raised by customers during project execution, interacting with cross-functional teams like Primary Engineering, Project Management, and Production when required.
- Gas Density Monitoring Panels: Prepare Gas Density Monitoring panels using Modular Switchgear Monitoring (MSM), including Preliminary BOM generation by understanding the implications of releasing such documentation.
- Self-Review and Compliance: Self-review all documents before submission to the Lead Engineer, adhere to applicable codes, QA/QC policies, and standards, while upholding Hitachi Energy’s core values of safety and integrity.
