Key Responsibilities

  • Master Production Schedule (MPS) Generation: Generate daily and weekly production schedules to meet required output targets, ensuring alignment with available capacity and operational goals.
  • Shortage Management: Proactively manage material shortages to maximize Clear-to-Build (CTB) rates, driving on-time production starts and completions in line with MRP signals.
  • Job Card Release & MRP Alignment: Release job cards per the production plan, action exception messages from the MRP system, and ensure the integrity of job card data to keep production signals accurate.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with Flow Leaders and Production Line Managers to ensure buy-in and adherence to production plans, and collaborate with operations teams to provide accurate output commitments.
  • Production Goal Tracking: Define daily and weekly production goals, monitor adherence to the plan, and ensure appropriate resource allocation across production lines.
  • Schedule Adherence: Demonstrate flexibility and strong organizational skills to meet tight production schedules and business commitments in a fast-paced environment.
  • Data Integrity Monitoring: Regularly monitor the integrity of job card and production data to ensure MRP signals are correct and production decisions are based on accurate information.

Eligibility – Graduate Engineer Trainee

  • Educational Qualification: B.E/B.Tech or equivalent degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE), Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Batch Year: 2025 or 2026 graduation batch preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Competence in MS Excel is mandatory; knowledge of MRP systems is beneficial.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills; strong problem-solving ability; ability to work in a matrix organization.

Role 2: Trainee Engineer – Materials Planner

Role Overview

The Trainee Engineer in the Materials Planner role is responsible for ensuring an uninterrupted supply of materials to support GE HealthCare’s production lines while achieving inventory business metrics. The selected candidate will gain deep expertise in Oracle ERP systems, Digital Cockpit tools, and supply chain coordination with domestic and international vendors. This is an excellent entry point for engineering graduates wanting to build a career in supply chain and operations management within the medical devices manufacturing sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Material Ordering & Scheduling: Take overall ownership of material ordering, availability, and scheduling, targeting a minimum 2-week inventory level to ensure uninterrupted production.
  • Oracle & Digital Cockpit Management: Serve as the Oracle ERP and Digital Cockpit expert on the team, ensuring systemic accuracy of inventory records and production data across all material categories.
  • Inventory Accuracy: Regularly audit and maintain systemic accuracy of inventory data, resolving discrepancies between physical stock and system records in a timely manner.
  • Material Rescheduling: Reschedule materials for pull-ins (expedites) and push-outs (for inventory control) in response to changing production demands and supply chain constraints.
  • Shortage Root Cause Analysis: Conduct daily shortage root cause investigations, identify supply chain gaps, and work proactively with suppliers and internal teams to resolve issues before they impact production.
  • Supplier Collaboration: Partner closely with suppliers on packaging needs, min/max planning, materials replenishment planning, and root-cause problem solving to improve supply chain reliability.
  • Floor & Dock Walks: Conduct daily walks on the production floor and receiving dock to investigate and resolve material receiving issues, ensuring smooth material flow into production.
  • NPI Material Management: Manage Phase In/Phase Out (NPI) activities to minimize obsolete material risk and support new product introduction with appropriate material planning.
