As a Software Engineer in Ford Credit Services, you will design, build and validate scalable test-automation and E2E quality solutions for Ford’s lending and receivables platforms in close partnership with Business, Architecture, Product, Design, and Software Engineering teams.

Technical Expertise (Must Have)

• Core Engineering: Strong programming background in Java and experience with build management tools (Gradle, Maven).
• Test Automation: Expert-level knowledge of UI automation (Playwright) and API testing (Playwright, Postman, Hoppscotch). Experience with BDD frameworks (Cucumber / Gherkin).
• System Architecture: Deep understanding of end-to-end processes from UI and backend perspectives. Experience testing Orchestration layers (GraphQL) and microservices.
• Cloud & CI/CD: Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (GCP) and CI/CD version control (GitHub, CloudBuild).

• Testing Methodologies: Strong understanding of functional, integration, E2E, and regression testing. Experience executing across SIT, UAT, PreProd environments.

• Full-Stack Analysis: Map end-to-end user journeys (e.g., complete Loan Origination flow) from the WebUI, through Orchestration, down to backend dependencies.
• Test Automation: Design, build, and refactor scalable automated tests for UI and API E2E scenarios using Playwright. Create reusable libraries to ensure zero code duplication.
• System Integration: Validate interoperability, data flows, and API contracts between modern microservices and legacy systems.
• Pipeline Integration: Integrate and maintain automated test suites within CI/CD pipelines (CloudBuild) to run on demand against selected cloud platforms (LambdaTest).
• Data Migration & TDM: Validate complex data transformations (e.g., DB2 to PostgreSQL migrations) and partner with TDM strategies for masked / synthetic data.
• Squad Collaboration: Collaborate tightly with Stream-Aligned Teams (in-sprint testers) to transfer knowledge, review execution results, and prioritise testing by risk and impact.
