Capgemini interviews run 15-30 minutes, often as a single combined round. The interview typically doesn’t go very deep technically — they’re assessing fit and communication alongside basic technical knowledge. ID verification is mandatory before the interview starts.
Project — the heaviest part
Capgemini puts more weight on project discussion than almost any other company. Not just “explain your project” — they ask: What were the challenges? What was your specific role? What technology did you use and why? Would you change anything?
Multiple students noted that their entire technical round was essentially an extended project discussion. Students with genuinely interesting projects and clear articulation often found Capgemini’s technical questions easier to handle than expected.
Technical questions
OOPs. All four pillars with real-world examples from daily life. Method overloading vs overriding also appeared consistently.
SQL. Types of joins (INNER, LEFT, RIGHT, FULL) — Capgemini asks about joins more than most. Also: DDL vs DML vs TCL (COMMIT, ROLLBACK, SAVEPOINT). TCL is specific to Capgemini — most other companies don’t emphasize it at the fresher level.
Python. List vs tuple, mutable vs immutable, basic programs (Fibonacci, palindrome).
HR — and the feedback question
Standard Capgemini HR: relocation, shift comfort, backlogs, education gaps, why Capgemini, why should we hire you.
One question that appeared specifically across Capgemini experiences: “Tell me about a time when you faced criticism — how did you respond?” Prepare a genuine, specific example.
“Why Capgemini?” should have a specific answer. Know their work in cloud transformation and intelligent industry solutions. Know that Capgemini is a French company with a large India delivery center.
