Role Overview – Digital Workplace Service Desk
This is a Service Desk role within Cognizant’s Digital Workplace Practice. You will be the first point of contact for end-users reporting IT issues, providing technical support to clients by troubleshooting and resolving IT problems and ensuring the smooth functioning of their computer systems and IT services. The role offers a clear path into IT operations, infrastructure, and cloud support.
Key Responsibilities
- First Point of Contact: Serve as the first point of contact in the Service Desk for end-users reporting IT issues.
- Ticket Management: Log, track, and resolve Service Desk tickets accurately and within defined Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot hardware and software issues to minimise downtime and disruption for client end-users.
- Escalation & Collaboration: Collaborate with internal IT teams to escalate and resolve complex scenarios in a timely manner.
- Knowledge Base: Build and maintain knowledge base articles to enable faster resolutions for recurring issues.
- Client Focus: Maintain a client-focused mindset with the ability to support users across diverse cultures and time zones.
- Shift Work: Be willing to work in shifts from the office, including night shifts as required by client SLAs.

- Educational Qualification: Any 3-year UG degree such as BCom, BCA, BSc, BA, BBA, B.Voc, BMS, etc. graduating in 2025 or 2026.
- Post Graduate Status: Students currently enrolled in full-time post graduate courses are NOT eligible.
- Academic Performance: Minimum 50% in X, XII, Diploma, and UG (rounding off 49.9% is not allowed).
- Joining Aggregate: Minimum 50% aggregate in the pursuing degree at joining with no standing arrears.
- Re-evaluation: Students applied for re-evaluation will be validated with the initial declared results score.
- CGPA Conversion: Appropriate CGPA to percentage conversion as per university norms.
- Standing Arrears: Students with standing arrears are NOT eligible to apply.
- Location Flexibility: Flexibility to work from any Cognizant office location in a given shift timing is mandatory.
