Fermi AI Off Campus Drive 2026 – Full Job Details

About Fermi AI

Fermi AI is an innovative AI startup building next-generation intelligent tutoring systems that help students master complex STEM subjects through personalized, adaptive learning experiences. The company is focused on evaluating and continuously improving AI tutor responses across Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry to ensure every student gets accurate, curriculum-aligned guidance. Backed by ambitious vision and a team of top engineers and educators, Fermi AI is based in Bengaluru and is at the forefront of reimagining how AI can transform education. For freshers passionate about AI, education, and quality, Fermi AI offers a rare opportunity to shape the future of learning from the ground up.

Role Overview – Product QA Intern

As a Product QA Intern at Fermi AI, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, reliability, and pedagogical quality of Fermi AI’s intelligent tutoring outputs. You will execute test cases across STEM subject areas, verify AI-generated responses for correctness and student-friendliness, test end-to-end learning workflows, log bugs, and maintain comprehensive QA documentation. This role is ideal for STEM graduates with strong academic foundations – particularly those with JEE-level expertise in Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry – who want to combine their domain knowledge with hands-on product quality assurance experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Test Case Execution: Execute structured test cases against Fermi AI’s intelligent tutoring workflows to validate the accuracy, completeness, and quality of AI-generated answers, hints, and explanations across STEM subjects including Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry.
  • AI Response Verification: Evaluate AI tutor responses for scientific and mathematical correctness, curriculum alignment, grade-level appropriateness, and pedagogical clarity using JEE-level domain expertise as a benchmark for quality assessment.
  • End-to-End Workflow Testing: Test complete student learning journeys within Fermi AI’s platform, identifying usability gaps, incorrect flows, and edge cases that could negatively impact the learning experience for students.
  • Bug Logging & Reporting: Document identified defects, unexpected AI behaviors, and content inaccuracies in the team’s bug tracking system with clear reproduction steps, expected behavior, and severity assessments for engineering prioritization.
  • QA Documentation: Maintain up-to-date QA documentation including test plans, test case libraries, defect logs, and release notes to ensure quality standards are consistently tracked and communicated across the product team.
  • Automation Exposure: Receive training and develop skills in QA automation tools such as Playwright and Cypress to support future automation of repetitive test workflows across Fermi AI’s platform.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, engineers, and AI trainers to communicate quality findings, reproduce issues, and ensure that AI model improvements are validated before release to students.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Educational Qualification: Currently enrolled in 1st through 4th year of B.E / B.Tech or any Engineering / STEM undergraduate program, or a recent graduate from the 2024, 2025, or 2026 batch; IIT graduates are strongly preferred.
  • Batch Year: Currently enrolled students (1st–4th year) and recent graduates from the 2024, 2025, or 2026 batch are eligible to apply.
  • Academic Performance: Strong STEM academic record required; JEE-level proficiency in Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry is highly valued for evaluating AI tutor response quality.
  • Technical Skills: Basic familiarity with software testing concepts; interest in or exposure to QA tools (Playwright, Cypress, or similar) is a plus; training will be provided on all required automation tools.
  • Communication Skills: Strong written communication skills in English; ability to document bugs, test cases, and QA reports clearly and precisely for a technical audience.

Selection Process

The Fermi AI Off Campus Drive 2026 follows a structured selection process:

  • Round 1 – Online Application & Profile Screening: Candidates apply through the official Fermi AI careers portal. The team screens academic background, STEM strength, and relevant project or internship experience before shortlisting.
  • Round 2 – Technical & Domain Assessment: Shortlisted candidates may be assessed on STEM subject knowledge (Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry at JEE level), logical reasoning, and basic QA concepts to evaluate their suitability for the AI tutor evaluation role.
  • Round 3 – HR & Culture Fit Interview: A final conversation with the Fermi AI team to evaluate communication skills, enthusiasm for AI-powered education, and readiness to contribute to a fast-moving startup environment.
