Role Overview – Graduate Engineering Technician

As a Graduate Engineering Technician at Micron’s Sanand facility, you will support semiconductor manufacturing, testing, and quality operations in a world-class clean-room environment. This is a hands-on technical role where you will gain deep expertise in semiconductor fabrication processes, equipment operation, yield analysis, and manufacturing quality control. Key Responsibilities

• Manufacturing Process Support: Assist in the assembly, testing, marking, and packaging (ATMP) operations for DRAM and NAND memory products, following Micron’s rigorous manufacturing standards and procedures.
• Equipment Operation & Monitoring: Operate and monitor specialised semiconductor manufacturing equipment; perform routine checks and escalate issues to senior engineers to maintain production continuity.
• Quality Inspection: Conduct in-process quality checks and inspections to ensure products meet Micron’s exacting specifications; record and report any deviations or defects accurately.
• Yield Analysis: Collect and analyse production data to support yield improvement initiatives; work with process engineers to identify root causes of quality issues and implement corrective actions.

• Safety & Compliance: Adhere strictly to EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) protocols in the clean-room environment; participate in safety training and promote a zero-incident culture on the shop floor.
• Continuous Improvement: Actively contribute to Kaizen and process improvement initiatives, applying engineering knowledge to reduce waste, improve efficiency, and enhance product quality.

Eligibility Criteria

• Educational Qualification: B.E. / B.Tech in Electronics & Communication, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, or any related engineering stream
• Batch Year: 2024, 2025, and 2026 graduating batches are eligible
• Academic Performance: Minimum 60% aggregate or 6.0 CGPA; no active backlogs at the time of application
• Technical Skills: Understanding of basic electronics, semiconductor concepts, or manufacturing processes; knowledge of quality tools (SPC, FMEA) is an added advantage
