Role Overview – Systems Engineer I

As a Systems Engineer I at Honeywell, you will play a critical role in the design, implementation, and management of complex systems and solutions that drive innovation, safety, and efficiency across various industries. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams on cutting-edge projects involving hardware, software, and network components — ensuring that system designs align with Honeywell’s quality standards and industry best practices. This entry-level role offers freshers exceptional exposure to enterprise systems engineering and a direct pathway to senior technical roles within Honeywell’s global organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Systems Design & Integration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and integrate complex systems involving hardware, software, and network components. Ensure architectural decisions align with Honeywell’s technical standards and customer requirements.
  • Implementation & Testing: Support the implementation and testing of systems to ensure performance, reliability, and scalability. Contribute to test plans, execute validation activities, and document results.
  • Technical Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to systems integration, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions in collaboration with senior engineers.
  • Documentation: Document system design, configurations, and processes thoroughly — maintaining accurate technical records that support team knowledge sharing, compliance, and future system modifications.
  • Test Automation: Apply test automation principles and tools to improve the efficiency and reliability of system verification and validation activities across engineering projects.
  • Technical Standards Management: Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and Honeywell’s internal technical standards. Apply this knowledge to address complex engineering challenges and provide solutions that meet or exceed required standards.
  • Innovation: Contribute ideas for system improvements, actively participate in engineering reviews, and help shape the future of Honeywell’s technology solutions through curiosity and initiative.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as Computer Science, Electrical Engineering (EE), Mechanical Engineering (ME), Electronics, or a related science and technology field. Advanced degrees (M.Tech/ME in EE or ME) are preferred but not mandatory.
  • Batch Year: Graduates from the 2024, 2025, or 2026 batches are eligible. Final-year students expected to graduate by June 2026 may also apply.
  • Technical Skills: Strong understanding of systems engineering fundamentals, test automation principles, and technical standards management. Familiarity with hardware-software integration concepts is an advantage.
  • Problem Solving: Demonstrated ability to analyze complex technical problems and develop structured, logical solutions. Academic projects or internships involving systems design are a strong plus.
  • Communication: Good written and verbal communication skills for documentation, stakeholder interaction, and cross-functional team collaboration.
