About Xylem

Xylem is a Fortune 500 global water solutions company with approximately 23,000 employees operating in over 150 countries. Headquartered in Washington, D.C., Xylem designs and manufactures innovative water technology products including smart pumps, water treatment systems, smart metering, network technologies, and advanced analytics for water utilities, industrial clients, and municipalities worldwide. Xylem’s mission is to “solve water” — tackling the world’s most pressing water challenges through technology and engineering innovation. In India, Xylem has an engineering and technology hub in Vadodara, Gujarat, where both of these fresher openings are based.

Role 1 — Entry Analyst, Information Technology

The Entry Analyst, Information Technology role is ideal for freshers with a background in CS or IT who want to work in enterprise IT, business systems, or technology analytics. In this position, you will support Xylem’s global IT operations and digital initiatives, gaining exposure to enterprise software platforms, data analysis, IT service management, and technology project delivery. This is an excellent stepping stone for freshers aiming to build a career at the intersection of IT and business.

Role 2 — Graduate Engineer Trainee (GET)

The Graduate Engineer Trainee (GET) programme at Xylem is a structured entry-level role designed for fresh engineering graduates across disciplines. As a GET, you will rotate across engineering functions — including product design, manufacturing engineering, R&D, or quality — gaining broad exposure to Xylem’s global product lines and engineering processes. The programme is designed to identify and develop the next generation of engineering leaders at Xylem’s Vadodara facility.

Key Responsibilities (Both Roles)

  • Technical Support & Analysis: Provide technical support, data analysis, and process improvement contributions within your assigned function — IT systems for the Analyst role, or engineering operations for the GET role.
  • Project Participation: Work as a contributing team member on functional projects, supporting senior colleagues with research, documentation, testing, and reporting tasks.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Engage with teams across Xylem’s global organisation, building professional skills and understanding how different functions support the company’s water technology mission.
  • Learning & Development: Participate in Xylem’s structured onboarding and training programmes, including technical skills development, leadership training, and Xylem Watermark community volunteering activities.
  • Process Documentation: Document processes, technical findings, and project outcomes clearly and accurately, contributing to Xylem’s continuous improvement culture.
  • Innovation Mindset: Bring fresh ideas and a problem-solving mindset; Xylem encourages all employees — including freshers — to identify opportunities to improve systems, processes, and products.
  • Sustainability Focus: Understand and contribute to Xylem’s commitment to sustainable water solutions, aligning daily work with the company’s broader environmental and social mission.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Educational Qualification: B.E. / B.Tech in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics & Communication, Mechanical Engineering, or any related engineering stream
  • Batch Year: 2024, 2025, and 2026 graduating batches are eligible
  • Academic Performance: Minimum 60% aggregate or equivalent CGPA; no active backlogs preferred
  • Technical Skills: For IT Analyst — knowledge of IT tools, basic programming, and data analysis; For GET — core engineering fundamentals relevant to your stream
  • Communication Skills: Good English communication skills; ability to collaborate in a multinational, cross-cultural environment

Selection Process

The Xylem Off Campus Drive 2026 follows a structured selection process:

  • Round 1 – Online Application & Screening: Applications reviewed for academic background, engineering stream, and relevant skills.
  • Round 2 – Technical Interview: Assessment of core technical knowledge relevant to the applied role — IT fundamentals for the Analyst role, or engineering concepts for the GET programme.
  • Round 3 – HR Interview: Evaluation of communication skills, alignment with Xylem’s values, and career motivation for joining the water technology sector.

Salary & Benefits

Xylem has not disclosed specific compensation figures for these roles. As a Fortune 500 employer, Xylem offers competitive fresher compensation aligned with MNC standards, along with comprehensive benefits including health insurance, annual performance reviews, Xylem’s global learning and development platform, employee volunteering time via Xylem Watermark, and the professional growth opportunities that come with working for a global market leader in water technology.
